This set up seems to make it difficult to perform web requests. I tried using the Fetch API, http module and request module with the same results:

Fetch API cannot load http://google.com/. Response to preflight request doesn’t pass access control check: No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource.
